Vent Mount Snap (SPC)

The old vent mounts locked to the mount the same way it does for the bike mount. However, the new mounts just hang from a small vertical tab. If you rotate your phone on the mount, phone falls off. My phone always falls off on gravel/dirt roads and randomly falls off on the highway. I have 2 of the new mounts and they are both terrible. I understand some may not want their phone locked in place on their vent, but I'd rather have that then the phone fall off onto the floorboard at 70mph. Fail on the new design. 100% would not recommend. Case is great, bike mounts are great, vent mount is terrible.

Easy to install on my motorcycle. A great product. I know my phone is secure and I don’t worry.

I use this on my bike and in the car. Easy to use. I like it!

I have the so case and connectors and multiple bikes and cars. This is the best

I bought a few different products from SP Connect: a phone case, a couple of bike mounts, and the vent mount snap in question. While the others were the best I ever had, the vent mount was by far the worst car mount I had (and I had many). Unlike the name, it doesn't snap. The phone just comes off and falls on the car floor at the slightest bump on the road. It just hangs loose and the tiny plastic 'springs' which are supposed to keep it snapped and tight on the plastic 'hooks' simply do nothing.
20 $ for a useless and poorly designed piece of plastic. Can't believe they are still selling these among their other great products. Not sure how they generated 35 positive reviews - just seems suspicious to me.

Not good my phone fell off the vent mount on the first day after a few bumps in the road not using it it’s not secure it stays in the vent just doesn’t keep the phone attached to the mount

This is a great solution if you need a quick mount on the car vent for your phone. I snap my phone on immediately upon entering my car and it's secure. My only gripe is that the phone jolts loose when the car hits a bump in the road, so then I'm left fishing for my phone on floor mat. Mildly aggravating to be groping around in the dark looking for one's phone as I'm trying to drive manually, but hey, I'm OK with it.

Does not stay on vent

I use to have a previous one where you would put the phone on an angle and twist. It was more convenient and secure.
On this model, when I try to plug in the power, it comes off too easy and is a risk if done while driving. With the way you install on this item, I end up hitting my windshield wipers. I never had that issue with the prior one.

I bought it for use in my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I was disappointed because the device would not hold the phone. I thought about returning it but I found that it does work in my other vehicle which is a Ford Fusion. I will need to find another solution for my Jeep.

I’ve been super happy with my SP bike mount which is solid, sturdy, and easy to use. So I expected the same from the vent mount. Needless to say, it was a bit of a letdown. This mount doesn’t engage at all, instead the phone just rests on the mount and is held on by a small notch. It also rotates and doesn’t stand far enough off of the vent to prevent the phone case with interfering with the vent surround. This makes consistent mounting a challenge and the phone will often fall off while driving and then not remount easily without pulling it out from the vent a bit and adjusting.

This clip is working exactly as I had intended. Perfect purchase for safer driving.

I have been throw every mount on Amazon etc. including SP’s first mount. Btw the best customer service in the business and when I reached out about returning the old mount (nothing would keep my 8 plus phone in the vent) They told me this was coming out and sent it out to me. Man not a single problem with it. I am so glad I bought it proven to be the only mount to work for vertical vents. If it works for vertical then horizontal is a wrap! Nice to be able to go from car to bicycle to car with no problem Highly recommend this product!

Normally these A/C vent clips fall out or have trouble keeping your phone attached, but this one has stayed put for a while now. It seems like it won't hold the phone very well since it just sits on the mount, but my phone has not fallen off yet and I've been using it for 2 years now.

So small but so clever. Easy to fasten to the air vents. I weill be taking this with me on travels.

perfect for the car

nice add on to my moto mount

so i can use always in the same way

It is so small and fits in all cars I have tried it in. This is going to be my best travel companion.

Im travelling a lot; so this product gives me access to google maps in a second without wasting time to study car internal systems
